Águeda’s “happy days” are coming

Águeda’s “happy days” are coming
With the ambition of attracting one million visitors, AgitÁgueda 2025 will have 23 days of shows and events, with strong names, local values and a lot to experience

The “Silent Party”, on Rua Luís de Camões, scheduled for 10pm on July 4th, will launch the 18th edition of AgitÁgueda - Art Festival, which, from the 5th to the 27th of next month, aims to bring more than a million visitors to the city, surpassing the 940,000 of last year. With a budget of 1.1 million euros, the event, held and consolidated under the brand “Umbrella Sky Project”, which installs thousands of umbrellas on the streets, guarantees 23 days of shows and events - with free access - and performances by more than 1,500 artists and groups. Defining a city “on the pulse”, Edson Santos, vice-president of the Municipal Council of Águeda, and, in the words of president Jorge Almeida, “the undisputed face” of the mega event, stressed that it is “a festival for families”, including those with small children and those with limited mobility.

Daniela Mercury will open the concerts on the 5th, at 10:30 pm, with the musical lineup also being filled with names such as Fernando Daniel, Jorge Guerreiro, Carol Biazin, Diogo Piçarra, Quinta do Bill and Delfins, among others.
